Dear Property Owners and Customers,
We here at McMullen CAD are working closely with McMullen County and taking advice from both the state and federal governments in an attempt to best minimize the impact felt by you, as well as our staff, from the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
At this point in time, day-to-day operations will be affected in the following ways through at least April 3rd:
Number of office staff each day will be reduced.
The office lobby will be closed, but we will accept visitors if an appointment is made ahead of time. We will ask that you only make an appearance in the office if absolutely necessary, as well as limit the people in our lobby to the bare minimum.
When possible, please direct all correspondence through email or telephone (contact information can be found below). Expect some delays in response due to the reducing of daily staff, but we will do our best to contact you as soon as we are able.
We will continue to update our website if any other changes are to occur.

Within this site you will find general information about the District and the ad valorem property tax system in Texas, as well as information regarding specific properties within the district.
McMullen Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within McMullen County. The district appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP).

TEXAS PROPERTY TAX CODE 2015 EDITION
Sec. 25.027. Restriction on Posting Information on Internet Website.
(a) Information in appraisal records may not be posted on the Internet if the information:
(1)is a photograph, sketch, or floor plan of an improvement to real property that is designed primarily for use as a human residence; or
(2)indicates the age of a property owner, including information indicating that a property owner is 65 years of age or older.
(b) Subsection (a)(1) does not apply to an aerial photograph that depicts five or more separately owned buildings.
